Understand the Historical Context of Cannabis and Black Communities: Analyze the historical relationship between cannabis, Black communities, and systemic racism, and its impact on Black youth today.

Identify Mental Health Impacts of Cannabis on Black Youth: Recognize the specific mental health challenges Black youth face, including generational trauma, ACEs, suicide risk, and community violence, and how these influence cannabis use

Evaluate the Benefits and Risks of Cannabis Use for Mental Health Conditions: Assess the benefits and risks of cannabis for treating mental health conditions like schizophrenia, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders in Black youth.

Incorporate Harm Reduction Strategies: Implement harm reduction strategies and culturally competent care in supporting Black youth who use cannabis, focusing on mitigating risks while addressing trauma.

Promote Culturally Competent Mental Health Interventions: Utilize culturally sensitive and trauma-informed interventions when working with Black youth, integrating tools like ACEs screenings, historical context, and community-based approaches.

In addition the training is accredited by the National Board of Certified Counselors and Licensed Professional Counselors will receive 2 continuing education credit.
